Orbilas — satellite intelligence for forest fire preparedness

Orbilas turns Copernicus Sentinel-2 imagery and Poland's open forest records into field-ready work lists for forest districts — delivered straight into the QGIS tools foresters already use. Demonstration area: Nadleśnictwo Węgliniec, RDLP Wrocław.

How Orbilas works

What we do

Satellite data and geospatial

Sentinel-2 time series from the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem: scene screening, cloud masking, spectral indices and stand-level change detection, joined with official forest records and delivered as GIS layers. In our product Orbilas.

Production platforms and AI

Multi-tenant systems we build and keep running: ordering and operations, a PostgreSQL data warehouse with tiered materialized views, and an AI copilot that answers questions over live business data.

Embedded systems and cloud control

ESP32 firmware with over-the-air updates, a live digital twin of sensors and pumps, and a cloud control centre for multi-device control. In our R&D project Sentient Grow, running on our own test installation.

What we have built

ChefBites platform (client project) — we took over a stalled multi-brand restaurant platform, rebuilt it into a production system (ordering, kitchen display, CRM, AI analytics copilot) and continue to maintain it.

Sentient Grow (our R&D project) — ESP32 controllers and a cloud control centre for NFT hydroponics, with a live digital twin and over-the-air updates, running on our own test installation.
